Life has been so crazy busy lately but it also couldn't be any better! About six weeks ago, Sky started as an engineer at Williams International. It is an awesome place to work and we couldn't feel more blessed. For awhile, our job situation was kind of shaky. He was working as an intern at another company, but that ended when he graduated in December. Jobs just weren't coming as soon as we had hoped and it was pretty stressful trying to figure out how we were going to pay all our bills. But Heavenly Father really blessed us and helped us get through those few months. Sometimes things don't work out as quickly as we like, but it is often because God has something even better in store for us. This job is perfect for our family and is such a great opportunity for Skyler. I am so proud of him and how hard he has worked to take care of Sophie and me. He is definitely a keeper.
I am 26 weeks pregnant now and Baby Girl Simpson is getting so big! She is weighing in at almost 2 pounds. She is a very active little gal and I feel her twisting and rolling all the time. I am having a ton of Braxton Hicks contractions and can also feel her get the hiccups. At my 20 week appointment, we had a little bit of a scare and my doctor was really concerned that she would be coming early. Luckily, everything seems to be staying consistent and as long as I take it easy, this little sweetheart should stay in till she is at least 36 weeks.
We have been doing a lot to get her room and everything ready and organized. Some of my awesome friends threw me a Baby Shower a couple weeks ago, and we got most of the baby stuff we still needed for her. I can't believe in less than three months, she will be here!
I got Sophie all registered for Preschool and needless to say, I almost cried just filling out the form. It is crazy how grown up she is getting. I am so blessed to be able to stay home with her and spend as much time with her as I do, before she leaves me. Ha ha. She is so excited to go to school and talks about it almost every day. She also has her first dance recital coming up.She loves playing outside and riding her bike. Her new favorite activity is baseball with Dad. We are planning a little Mommy/Daughter Trip soon and it is going to be so much fun.
The next few months are going to be super busy! We have so much fun family stuff going on and I am so excited for all of it. Yay for it being May!!
